About Dr. Rosa

Hello, I’m Dr. Rick Rosa. I have been working and practicing in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area for over 12 years. I have treated many patients and worked with professional athletes in different realms of sports. Over the years, I have developed an approach to treating my patients and athletes with a focus on recovery and have tried to combine various types of treatments to see what the best results would be. In my clinics, we combine physical medicine, chiropractic, massage, physical therapy and nutrition as well as alternative medicine approaches in an effort to help people recover as quickly as possible.
My approach has developed slowly over time and began when I became the team doctor for Keystone Boxing. The sport of boxing is literally a constant assault on the body. Recovery became crucially important. In practice, my average patient base is also in need of a quick recovery as most of them cannot afford to be in pain long term. As a cyclist and runner, I have been able to apply this knowledge to help athletes recover better and faster. The bottom line is simply this; the quicker you recover, the harder you can apply yourself in the workouts to follow, which leads to greater gains!

I also write for pezcyclingnews.com.

Here are some of the articles I have written:

Hot foot

Quad strain

Low back Pain

I recieved my Doctorate from New York Chiropractic College in 1996 and was hired as a teacher at the college thereafter. In 1996 I began practicing in a multidicipinary setting, allowing me to experience various approaches to health care as well as treat all sorts of acute injury and pain syndromes. I am still a member of the faculty at New York Chiropractic College and have my Diplomate in pain management from the American Academy of Pain Management. I have advanced certifications in various techniques and strive to learn more about the lastest trends and techniques to give my patients the best care available .
